A screen as wide as the horizon and warm, rich colours: musical cinemascope is the format in which the extended Lukas Mantel Quintet tells its far-reaching stories.

The compositions are carefully formulated, the paths through the suite-like pieces are simultaneously winding and always coherent.
Isa Wiss is on board for part of the journey. What a stroke of luck! The view widens and the phenomena created in the pieces can be experienced even more intensely. The light is now clearly yellow over South American grassland, the ballad now even touches the listener's skin.
Where Joke Lanz joins in, the references flicker. American films, music from all times and places or simply the pleasant analogue sound of the record needle, artfully played.

This broadens the perspective once again in a completely different way, and the music miraculously locates itself in a wide field of musical and other influences.
